Text Box: The historic and verdant island of Corfu is regarded as one of the most beautiful of the Greek Islands, with shimmering seas set against a backdrop of mountains, cypress trees and olive groves.  It is a paradise setting in which to explore the many and varied things it has to offer. Villa Bigioli Apartment is in a secluded position in the village of Kavadades, on the quieter north west coast, and is within easy reach of some of the most breathtaking views on the island.  From its hub, you can either walk down to the beaches or up into the mountains, visiting picturesque villages on the way.   Sometimes you can see Honey Buzzards overhead or maybe catch a glimpse of a Hoopoe or Golden Oriole.  Or perhaps see the magic of fireflies in the olive groves, depending upon the season, as you visit the local taverna. Kavadades is a typically Greek rural village, where the people are friendly and unaffected by tourism.  They go about their daily lives as they have always done, the baker baking by hand some of the best bread imaginable, the supermarket supplying all that you could ever need on holiday and the greengrocer helping you to pick the best local produce.  Simple pleasures to immerse yourself in as you try out your Greek.
